Why does cold air make me sick?
Last week I played basketball outside and after I was done playing I was completely soaking wet in sweat. When I came home someone was cleaning my bathroom as a surprise and they had the air conditioner extremely cold. I had to wait for this person to get out of my way while I stood freezing in my wet clothes. Now my nose is stuffed up, my throat hurts a little, and overall I do not feel good. Why does being in the cold have this effect?

- This is because your body was in a warmed condition, you were wet with sweat which is your bodies way of cooling itself, but the fact that you went to an area with air conditioning and you were in soaked clothes just means that your temperature dropped and you've gained a cold. This is your bodies reaction to temperature differences, give it a couple of days each day should get better.#1; Tue, 18 Dec 2007 19:02:00 GMT
